Biographie
[FR] Shawn Jobin est originaire du Québec et il atterri en Saskatchewan à l’adolescence ou il y vit depuis plus de 15 ans, il est reconnu pour sa musique et ses textes d’une grande sensibilité. Depuis son EP “Au nom d’une Nation” en 2013, Shawn s’est produit dans plus de 200 spectacles au Canada mais aussi en France, en Belgique et au Mexique.
2017 a marqué un jalon important pour le chanteur avec la sortie de son premier album “Éléphant”, depuis il a eu l’honneur de le présenter au Canada comme à l’international, dans des évènements d’importance (Francofolies de Montréal, Célébration du 150e de la Confédération canadienne, Festival Internacional Cervantino,…).
Cette œuvre personnelle et très aboutie lui a permis d’attirer les regards de la presse, des programmateurs et de ses pairs.
Artiste montant de la scène rap francophone, la forte empreinte personnelle de son œuvre lui ont permis de recevoir de plus en plus d’invitations prestigieuses sur la scène francophone et internationale.
Biography
[EN] Shawn Jobin is from Quebec and he landed in Saskatchewan as a teenager where he has lived there for over 15 years, he is known for his music and his texts of great sensitivity. Since his EP “Au nom d’une Nation” in 2013, Shawn has performed in more than 200 shows in Canada but also in France, Belgium and Mexico.
2017 marked an important milestone for the singer with the release of his first album “Éléphant”, since he has had the honor to present it accross Canada and around the world, attending important events (Francofolies de Montréal, Celebration of 150th of the Canadian Confederation, Festival Internacional Cervantino, …).
This personal and very accomplished work allowed him to attract the attention of the press, programmers and his peers.
A rising artist on the French-speaking rap scene, the strong personal imprint of his work has enabled him to receive more and more prestigious invitations on the French-speaking and international scene.
