PWATISIMO means ‘dance powwow’ in Cree. PWATISIMO is a celebration of Indigenous youth and powwow dance culture. Students bring their form of expression and style of dance to the troupe, including fancy, jingle, traditional, chicken and grass. Led by the Indigenous Student Achievement Coordinator (ISAC) PWATISIMO makes excursions and trips throughout the year to powwows, special events, schools, & organizations. Dance troupe members must maintain good attendance and grades.
