Hoknes also discusses the formation of the Saskatoon Heritage Society now celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Terry Hoknes serves as the city’s unofficial detective of the past. He meticulously catalogues Saskatoon and area history by analyzing vintage photographs, StarPhoenix articles, and historic advertisements to preserve the region’s unique identity. As the host of the Saskatoon History Online Facebook group, Terry shares his research with over 23.6K members, ensuring the community’s past remains accessible and vibrant.
