2PM How to Research Métis Ancestors: Finding & Understanding Primary Sources for Métis Genealogy

This presentation will introduce the key sets of both primary and secondary documents used for Métis genealogy research, and explain where to find and access these records, held by various institutions. There will also be information shared about how the Métis Nation – Saskatchewan (MN-S) Registry uses these records to prove an applicant’s genealogical connection to an historic Métis ancestor.
