In Boomtown:

12 pm  Festival Opening

Gather in Boomtown to see the North Sask Regiment Pipes & Drums march up Main Street to join our Master of Ceremonies for opening remarks at the stage on the railway platform.

12 – 5 pm Exhibitors

More than 30 exhibitors gather in Boomtown and throughout the Museum to celebrate our civic, natural, cultural, and artistic heritage.

12 – 5 pm  Boomtown Stage 

Featuring a great lineup of cultural performances and entertainment.

12 – 5 pm  1910 Costumes

Be on the lookout for Costumed Interpreters stationed in buildings throughout Boomtown.

1 – 4 pm  Pioneer Demonstrations

Members of the Women’s Auxiliary and Morse Telegraphy Club provide demonstrations of skills in days gone by.

In Sask Hall:

12 – 5 pm  Exhibitors

Explore activities and information showcased by numerous fine exhibitors in Sask Hall.

1:30 – 2:30 pm  Tipi Raising with Wanuskewin

One of Wanuskewin’s most popular programs! Learn the traditional Cree/Nehiyaw style tipi set up with an indoor 8 foot tipi set up demonstration and teaching. This hands-on program discusses the practical purpose of each tipi pole and the associated meanings and significance that each pole represents for each stage of life.

12 – 5 pm  Sask Hall Stage 

Our Sask Hall Stage features cultural dance and interactive performances. Get swept away into the world of dance.

12 – 5 pm  Heritage Games

Try your hand at classic games and other favourites like snakes and ladders, checkers, dominoes, pick up sticks, and crokinole!

12:30 – 3 pm  Balloon Funn with Warren

Warren has been twisting balloons professionally since 1999. Often using multiple balloons in his designs, Warren’s repertoire includes characters, wearable creations, and more! Come and see why he is called “Saskatoon’s Best Balloon Twister”!

3 – 5 pm  Face Painting with SCYAP

Explore the world of art and imagination! Let SCYAP artists transform your face into your favourite animal, fantasy character, or gorgeous design.

In the Auto Gallery:

12 – 5 pm  Saskatoon Model Railroad

This miniature model railroad will entertain and delight visitors. Such detail! We could watch for hours.

In the Education Room:

1:30 pm  and 3:30 pm Touring the Archives with SCAA

The Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists presents a collection of short films touring archival organizations in Saskatoon and across the province.

2:30 pm  Speaker Series featuring Jeff O’Brien

Always interesting, always entertaining, join City of Saskatoon Archivist Jeff O’Brien in the Education Room for a talk about our city’s past.
